[03/04/2026] The Remembrance of Allāh in the Life of a Believer – By Shaykh Muḥammad Amīn al-Jazāirī حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
- Allāh commanded us to fear Him.
- Ibn Mas’ūd, “Allāh is to be obeyed, and not disobeyed; He is to be remembered and not forgotten, and He is to be shown gratitude, and one should not be ungrateful.”
- Remembering Allāh is constant in the life of a believer.
- The likeness of the one who remembers Allāh, and the one who doesn’t.
- The heart that is alive and the one that is dead.
- The one whose day is protected from harm.
- If you remember Allāh with obedience to Him.
- The importance of Adhkār in the life of a Muslim.
- Ibn al-Qayyim on the types of remembrance of Allāh.
- That which leads to good deeds, especially during times of trial.
- The one who is void of this remembrance and is heedless.
- The heart that is rusted and sealed.
- Those who forgot Allāh and are neglectful.
- Following those who are heedless.
