[23/06/2023] The 10 of Dhul-Ḥijjah, Eid & Qurbāni – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khutbah:
- The reward of Ḥajj, its obligation and an encouragement to perform it as much as possible.
- A brief mention of the rites of Ḥajj.
- Ahādīth regarding the virtue of the first ten days of Dhul-Ḥijjah.
- The striving of Sa’īd b. Jubayr (رضى الله عنه) during the first ten days of Dhul-Ḥijjah.
- Āyāt regarding remembering Allāh in the first ten days of Dhul-Ḥijjah and the days of Tashrīq.
- Following the example of the Companions in making dhikr loudly (for men) during these days.
- The day in which Allāh frees more people from the Fire than any other day.
- Allāh’s descent and boasting in front of His angels on the Day of ‘Arafah.
- Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah, and the best supplication to be said on this day.
- A warning against taking the days of ‘Eid as days of sinning.
- A mention of some rulings regarding the sacrifice.
- Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) on sending the uḍḥiyyah/qurbānī to other countries.
