[03/05/2024] What Did The Messenger ﷺ Fear For His Ummah? – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

  • A response to one of the youth who asked for advice on how to tackle the fitnah we are facing in these trialling times.
  • Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the reasons why holding on to one’s religion will be like holding on to hot coals.
  • That which the Messenger ﷺ feared for his ummah.
  • The worthlessness of the dunyā to Allāh.
  • Holding on to the Qur’ān and Sunnah and not being hasty.
  • The cure to all the fitnah we are facing.
  • Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (رحمه الله) on intending what Allāh intends for us. 
  • Statements from Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) regarding spending our time working for what is most beneficial for our souls and the severity of wasting it (time).
