All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[09/12/2022] The Necessary Rights of Brotherhood – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid As-Salafi, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khutbah:
– Beautiful words from Shaykh Fawzān (حفظه الله) regarding brotherhood in the dīn and what it necessitates.
– Proof from the Qur’ān and Sunnah regarding the believers being brothers.
– Ahādīth regarding loving for others what we love for ourselves.
– Being ardent in establishing the ties of brotherhood, and that which brotherhood necessitates.
– The actions of the one who desires to be rescued from the Fire and entered into Jannah.
– The characteristics of those whom Allāh honours and raises in rank.
– The destructive feelings a person must be free from in order to love for his brother what he loves for himself.
– A description of hasad.
– That which true īmān calls to.
– ‘Ikrimah (and others) on the āyah, “That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.” [Sūrah al-Qasas 28:83]
– Praising and making du’ā for those who preceded us in īmān and keeping our hearts and tongues free from hatred and revilement of them.
– The prohibition of reviling the Companions of the Messenger ﷺ.
– Muhammad Hijāb’s belittlement of the Sahābah and the creed and books of the imāms of the Salaf.
– Those who wish to extinguish the Light of Allāh.
