All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[15/12/2023] “Oh Our Lord We Have Been Overcome! Help Us!” – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khutbah:
- Allāh is Ar-Razzaq, The One Who Sustains His slaves. The Great Provider. The One Who provides extensively for the whole of creation, whatever they need.
- All Strength, Might, and Power are with Allāh, The Most-High. He is Al-Qawee: The One Perfect in Strength. The One completely able to do anything. None can overcome Him. None can repel His decrees.
- The du’ā of the Nuḥ عليه السلام.
- The affair of Hūd عليه السلام.
- The winds that were sent upon the people of ‘Ād.
- The story of the people of Thamūd.
- The trials of the prophet Ibrahīm عليه السلام.
- The story of Dawūd and Jālūt, and the du’a that was made.
- Ayūb عليه السلام and the trials he faced. Tawhīd and his trust in Allāh.
- The wealth and possessions of Qārūn.
- Musā عليه السلام and his people. His response to his people whilst they were in a state of fear.
- The trials and story of the prophet ‘Isā عليه السلام.
- The many trials faced by our Prophet ﷺ.
- The importance of remaining patient and having fear of Allāh.
