[05/01/2024] Muslims Today Need to Understand Tawheed – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khutbah:
- Virtues of the kalimah Lā ilāha illa Allāh.
- Negation and affirmation in the āyah, “Whoever disbelieves in Tāghūt and believes in Allāh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break.” [Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:256]
- The obligation of understanding the meaning of Lā ilāha illa Allāh.
- The purpose of the sending of the Prophets and Messengers.
- Responding to those who claim all of the ummah says Lā ilāha illa Allāh so there is no need to call to Tawḥīd.
- Examples of violations of Tawḥīd that have crept into the ummah.
- The importance of learning Tawḥīd and what violates it.
- Proof that entering into Islām (Tawḥīd) wipes away everything that came before it, even trying to kill a Prophet of Allāh.
