“And if We give him a taste of mercy from us, after some adversity has touched him, he says: This is due to myself!” By Abu Khadeejah: Kitāb at-Tawhīd Ch. 48.

Kitāb at-Tawhīd (Chapter 48) of Shaykh ul Islaam Muhammad ibn Abdil Wahhāb, with the Explanation of Shaykh Ahmad bin Yahya an-Najmī (rahimahullaah), by Abu Khadeejah Abdul Wāhid.

An amazing discussion of various narrations and verses related to ingratitude, and believing one is deserving, and has a right that they are given bounties – and then deny that bounties were bestowed upon them. Discussion on the hadith of the leper, bald man, and the blind man.

“And truly if We give him a taste of mercy from Ourself after some hardship had afflicted him, he is sure to suggest: ‘This [bounty and mercy] is due to myself’!”  (41:50)
