Some points covered by Abu Fuḍayl حفظه الله during this Khuṭbah:
- The second piece of advice from the Messenger ﷺ: Remain in your homes.
- The blessing of having homes wherein we find repose and protection.
- Racing to our homes in times of affliction.
- The only thing that remains of this dunyā.
- Protecting oneself from fitnah by guarding one’s tongue and remaining in one’s home.
- The trial of wealth and children.
- The severity of shirk.
- The origin of unity and mixing with the people and not isolating oneself when fitnah is not widespread.
- What is better for the person of knowledge as it relates to mixing with the people.
