[09/02/2024] Do Not Lose Hope In The Mercy Of Allāh – By Abu ‘Inaayah Seif حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
- Benefits from Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) regarding the āyah, “Say: ‘O ‘Ibādī (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allāh, verily Allāh forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” [Sūrah az-Zumar 39:53]
- A warning against destroying ourselves by thinking our sins are too many and there is no way of removing them.
- A trick utilised by the Shayṭān to destroy mankind, and how to combat it.
- Proof from the Qur’ān and Sunnah that highlight the extent of the Mercy of Allāh.
- Our need for the Mercy of Allāh, and a means of obtaining it.
- Proof that it is not our actions that will enter us into Jannah.
- Remaining balanced in fearing Allāh’s punishment and hoping in His Mercy.
- Proof from the Qur’ān and Sunnah that the door of Tawbah is wide open, and the point at which it will be closed.
- The mercy shown to this nation.
