All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[03/10/2025] “You are the Best of People Ever to be Raised from Mankind…” – By Sh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Allah ﷻ says: You are the best of people ever to be raised from mankind; you command that which is good and forbid that which is evil and you believe in Allah. Surah Ali Imran (3):110.
– Tafsir of Ibn Abbas of the above Ayah.
– The best of mankind are the companions.
– Hadīth showing that this ummah is the best of all nations.
– Allah ﷻ says: Indeed we have made you a balanced nation as that you may stand as witnesses over mankind and the Messenger be a witness over you. Surah Baqarah (2): 143.
– Narration mentioning what will be said between the Prophet Nuh and his nation.
– Narrations relating to actions to show how this ummah is the best towards mankind.
– Explanation of those who believe in Allah, enjoin the good and forbid the evil and do not fear the blame of the blamers.
– List of those things that the Messenger ﷺ was given and no other was given before him.
– The virtues that this ummah has been blessed with.
– The virtues of enjoying the good and forbidding the evil.
