[29/11/2024] Who Are The Successful Ones? – Abu Ukkashah Abdul-Ḥakim حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The successful ones and the losers on the Day of Resurrection.
– Imām ash-Shāfi’ī (رحمه الله) on wherein lies happiness and destruction.
– Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (رحمه الله) on planting seeds in the worldly life that will be harvested in the hereafter.
– A warning for those beguiled by the worldly life.
– The ultimate return to Allāh that no one can escape.
– Ten means of success and salvation in this world and the hereafter:
– 1. Taqwā of Allāh.
– 2. Clinging to the way of the Messenger ﷺ and what the Companions (رضى الله عنهم) were upon.
– 3. Clinging to the correct Islamic belief.
– 4. Commanding the good and forbidding the evil.
– 5. Truthfulness and fulfilling contracts/agreements.
– 6. Tawbah.
– 7. Migrating for the Sake of Allāh from the lands of disbelief and striving in His Cause.
– 8. Loving for our brother what we love for ourselves.
– 9. Diligently preserving the prayer.
– 10. Purifying our souls and abandoning sins.
