All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[13/12/2024] Who are the Martyrs in Islām? – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Allāh will test His servants.
– The life and trials of a believer.
– The believer is between thankfulness and patience.
– {And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirûn (the patient)} [Al-Baqarah:155]
– How are we preparing for the reality of death?
– Allāh Knows that which is best for His believing servants.
– The Advice and story of the father of Jābir bin ‘Abdillah رضي الله عنهم.
– “Wish what you will and I will grant it for you!”
– {Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision} [Aal-‘Imrān: 169].
– The Martyrs: The one who dies from a plague. The one who dies due to an Illness related to the stomach. The one who dies due to drowning. The one who is crushed to death. The one who fights and dies on the battlefield.
– The mercy of Allāh.
– The one who is patient at the time of trial.
– When forty believers, people of tawḥīd pray over the deceased.
