[14/02/2025] The Reward of Those who Remain Steadfast – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– The reality of this life.

– The importance of staying firm and steadfast (istiqamah) until death.

– The best provision of this life is taqwa and staying firm.

– Hadīth regarding “My Lord is Allah and then staying steadfast”.

– Meaning of istiqamah.

– The means that shaytan uses to take us away from istiqamah.

– Allah mentions istiqamah and istighfar together.

– Signs to show that a person is upon istiqamah.

– {Verily, the Promise of Allah is true} [Surah Al-Rūm (30):60].

– {Verily, those who say: “Our Lord is Allah (Alone),” and then they remain steadfast, on them the angels will descend (at the time of their death) (saying): “Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised!} [Surah Al-Fussilat (41): 30].

– The reality of death.

– How a person of istiqamah faces death.

– We should not feel sorrow for the death of a person upon istiqamah as they will receive glad tidings of Jannah.
