Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– “So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect.” [Sūrah al-A’rāf 7:176]
– “Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding.” [Sūrah Yūsuf 12:111]
– A tremendous story of two individuals from Banī Isrā’īl exemplifying truthfulness, fulfilling the trust and tawakkul.
– The reason two men from the past differed over who is the rightful owner of a quantity of gold.
– Reflecting upon the responsibilities upon us and striving to fulfil them.
– A story of how justice was established through a monkey.
– A reminder that everything is witnessed by Allāh, and He will take us to account.
– A sign of the closeness of the Hour.
– The grave consequences for the one who cannot be trusted and the one who does not fulfil what he has been entrusted with.
