All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[16/05/2025] The Right of Allāh upon the Servant – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Allah تعالى says: Worship Allāh alone and do not ascribe any partners with Him.
– The purpose of our creation: to worship Allah alone.
– This was the call of the Prophets.
– Benefits from the famous Hadith of Mu’ādh ibn Jabal highlighting the importance of calling to Allāh alone firstly.
– Explanation of the Hadith “Whoever says lā ilaha illallāh will be guaranteed Paradise.”
– Definition of worship as stated by Shaykhul Islām Ibn Taymiyyah.
– Hadith Qudsī highlighting that Allāh is not in need of our worship.
– Our call is based upon Tawhīd and this is the foundation of our religion and our actions.
– Worshipping Allāh draws us close to His mercy and Paradise.
– The conditions of an accepted action.
– The affair of Tawhīd can only be established through following the Sunnah of the Messenger ﷺ.
