All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[07/02/2025] The Best of All Provisions is Taqwā – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– Allah تعالى says: “O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient. Not equal are the dwellers of the Fire and the dwellers of the Paradise. It is the dwellers of Paradise that will be successful.”
Surah Hashr 59:18-19
– The honour bestowed upon the believers.
– Every soul should be concerned with what they put forward for tomorrow.
– The meaning of tomorrow.
– Ayāt concerning the Hour and the Day of Judgement.
– The virtues of Tawqa – Fearing Allah.
– Importance of taking accountability.
– Explanation of Allah’s Name Al Khabīr.
– Statement of Umar Ibnul Khattab رضي الله عنه regarding taking oneself to account before we are held to account.
– Explanation of how Allah causes a person to forget themselves.
– Description of the believers’ heart when they turn away from the remembrance of Allah.
