[31/10/2025] Tawḥīd Relieves Distress – By Abu ‘Abdir-Raḥmān Hilāl حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– {Indeed we have created man in toil} [Surah al-Balad (90): 4].
– Understanding tawḥīd is the means of relieving oneself from the distresses of life.
– The rights of Allãh and the rights of the slave.
– Story of the Prophet Yunus عليه السلام and the supplication that he made during his trial.
– The virtues and benefits from the du’ã of Yunus عليه السلام.
– {Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea…} [Surah al-An’am (6): 63].
– {When He brings you safe to land you are ever ungrateful} [Surah al-Isrā’ (17): 67].
– Du’ā made in times of hardship by the Prophet ﷺ.
– Tawḥīd is the foundation of everything, including du’ã.
– Trials are like waves, and refuge is sought from Allãh and not the people.
– Asking Allãh alone, persistently, that your needs are fulfilled and distresses removed.
– Tawḥīd is the best means to attain safety, security, guidance, and happiness – in this life and the hereafter.
