All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[05/12/2025] Remember Allāh, and He will Remember You – Sh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The importance of the dhikr of Allāh in the life of the believer.
– “O you who believe! Remember Allāh with much remembrance. And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon. He it is Who sends Salāt (His blessings) on you, and His angels too (ask Allāh to bless and forgive you), that He may bring you out from darkness into light . And He is Ever Most Merciful to the believers.” [Sūrah al-Ahzāb 33:41-43]
– Giving thanks to Allāh for His numerous blessings and remaining constant upon His remembrance.
– Caution against resembling the hypocrites.
– Analysing ourselves as it relates to how much we remember Allāh.
– The great honour and nobility received by those who remember Allāh plentifully.
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.” [Sūrah ar-Ra’d 13:28]
– The effect of the dhikr of Allāh upon the one going through trials and difficulties.
– The difference between the living and dead.
– The greatest form of dhikr of Allāh.
– The dhikr of the Prophet ﷺ after the prayer.
– Softening the heart by keeping the tongue moist with the dhikr of Allāh.
– Instances throughout the day when we should remember Allāh.
