[07/03/2025] Ramaḍān: A Month of Purification – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Glad tidings the Messenger ﷺ would give to his Companions when the month of Ramaḍān entered.
– Reflecting upon the aḥādīth that mention the virtues of Ramaḍān so we can capitalise as much as we can and avoid being from those who are not forgiven.
– Opportunities to be forgiven in the month of Ramaḍān.
– The nature of this month.
– Proof from the Qur’ān and Sunnah regarding the intent of fasting.
– Maymūn b. Mihrān (رحمه الله) on the easy part of fasting.
– Jābir b. ‘Abdillāh (رضى الله عنهما) on fasting beyond abstaining from food and drink.
– An example of Allāh’s Mercy during this blessed month.
