[02/10/2026] Love, Honour and Respect your Father – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The commandment of being dutiful to one’s parents.
– The virtues of the father.
– Worship Allāh alone and be dutiful to your parents.
– None should be worshipped except Allāh, and be dutiful to your parents.
– Be dutiful and supplicate to Allāh regarding your parents.
– The role of the father is to advise his children.
– Examples of Prophets Ibrāhīm and Ya’qūb as fathers advising their sons and their concern for them.

– Ḥadīth: The pleasure of Allāh lies in the pleasure of the father, and the anger of Allāh is the anger of the father.
– Sayings of the Salaf regarding the mannerisms towards our fathers.
– How to be dutiful to your father after his death.
– Keep ties with family and those whom your father loved.
