All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[07/11/2025] Let Not Your Deeds go to Waste! – Sh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– {And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust} [Surah al-Furqan 25:23]
– Explanation of the above Ayah.
– The importance of tawḥīd and to ensure that our deeds are done purely and sincerely for Allah.
– Scattering of deeds will occur on the Last Day where mankind will be held to account.
– The conditions for an accepted action: Sincerity and following the Sunnah.
– {Let the one who has hope in meeting His Lord then let him work righteous deeds and let him not associate any partners with Allāh} [Surah al-Kahf 18:110].
– Examples from the Qur’an of those whose deeds will be rendered null and void.
– The weightiness of sins.
– Hadith highlighting the one who is greatest in loss in his actions.
– Hadith of the three people who will be called to account and thrown in the fire due to absence of sincerity.
– Explanation of the bankrupt individual.
– Importance of avoiding sinful actions that involve taking the rights of others.
