[11/12/2024] Lesson 41: What is Salafiyyah, and is it Obligatory to Proceed and act Upon its Methodology and Hold Fast to it? – Beneficial Answers to Questions Regarding The Innovated Methodologies – Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul-Wāhid حفظه الله.

So what is the Salafī methodology regarding this important matter (i.e. declaring a Muslim to be an innovator)?
– The meaning of bid’ah and proof of its prohibition.
– The manner in which sunnah and bid’ah is measured.
– The one who does an innovated action due to ignorance.
– The gravity of speaking about Allāh without knowledge.
– Shaykh Rabī’ (حفظه الله) on declaring a person to be an innovator as it relates to those from the well-known sects of innovation, a person from Ahlus-Sunnah, the general people and those who are outright kuffār.
– Question 64: Whomsoever opposes the fundamentals of the Salafī path from those who are around us and he supports the deviated methodologies and praises their founders and ideologues, is it a must that he be aligned to those he supports and praises so the people are warned and are not deceived by him and his methodology?
– Those counted amongst the people of opposition and how to deal with them.
– Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) on the one who has good suspicion towards the opposers, and the one who says their speech can be interpreted in a way that agrees with the Sharī’ah.
– Shaykh Bakr Abū Zayd (رحمه الله) on the one who aids and praises an innovator and spreads his books.
Question: How do we advise the one who opposes the Sunnah when those who do it are many in number? For example there are many who shave their beards and allow their garments to fall below their ankles.
