[19/12/2025] Judging With Truth and Justice – Sh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Benefits from the story of the two individuals who entered the mihrab of Dawud عليه السلام and had a dispute seeking judgement.
– Verses from Surah Sa’ad (38):21-25.
– The conversation that took place between the individuals in the presence of Prophet Dawūd عليه السلام.
– The judgment made by Dawud عليه السلام
– The importance of seeking out righteous people when entering into business agreements, etc.
– How Daw’ūd عليه السلام realised it was a test from Allāh and how he repented.
– Judging between the Qur’ān and the Sunnah in all matters and avoiding the following of desires.
– Responsibility differs between different people: leaders, judges, the community, Family.
– Following desires takes one away from the Path of Allāh.
– Being humble and submitting to the Laws of Allāh.
– The different forms of calamities.
– Encouragement to return to the Qur’an in all our affairs.
