[07/03/2025] Focusing One’s Attention Upon the Qur’ān in the Month of Ramaḍān – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– {Recite O Muhammad what has been revealed to you from the Book} [Surah Al-Ankabut (29):45].
– {And I am commanded to be from among the Muslims (those who submit to Allāh in Islām). And to recite the Qur’ān} [Surah Al-Naml (27):91-92].
– {The month of Ramaḍān in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong)} [Surah Al-Baqarah (2):185].
– The revelation of the Qur’ān.
– The reason for the revelation of the Qur’ān in parts and not in one go.
– How Qur’ān should be recited.
– Prophet ﷺ focused on the Qur’ān with Angel Jibreel in Ramaḍān.
– The importance of establishing the recitation and action upon the Qur’ān in our lives.
– The rewards for reciting the Qur’ān and the multiplication of rewards in Ramaḍān.
– The lofty position of the proficient reciters of the Qur’ān.
– Reflecting upon and benefitting from the Qur’ān.
