[05/09/2025] Five Prophetic Advices Of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ – By Sh Abu Idrees Muḥammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– A tremendous ḥadīth containing five pieces of prophetic advice we all require in our lives.
– Examples of how the Messenger ﷺ combined compassion with knowledge.
– 1. Avoid the prohibitions and you will be the most devout of worshippers.
– Two foundations in our religion regarding commands and prohibitions.
– A frightening ḥadīth describing people from this ummah whose good deeds will be scattered into floating dust particles on the Day of Judgement.
– 2. Be content with what Allāh has allotted for you and you will be the richest of the people.
– True richness and true poverty.
– Fruits of being content.
– 3. Honour your neighbour and you will be a Mu’min.
– The dangerous affair of harming one’s neighbour.
– The Messenger’s ﷺ connection of goodness to one’s neighbour to īmān.
– 4. Love for the people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim.
– A sign of complete īmān.
– 5. Do not be excessive in laughter, for indeed, it will kill the heart.
– How excessive laughter combined with weak knowledge and heedlessness leads to the death of the heart.
