Do Not Let the Fitnah of the Hot Summer Days Lead You to the Hellfire! – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[10/05/2024] Do Not Let the Fitnah of the Hot Summer Days Lead You to the Hellfire! – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

• The dress code of the Muslim 
• The rotation of the seasons and weather is a sign from Allāh 
• The heat of summer and reflecting upon the heat of the Hellfire 
• The two exhalations of the hellfire
• The relation to the story of Ibrahīm عليه السلام
• The statement of Al-Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله regarding the heat and cold of the dunyā
• Reflecting upon the severe heat of the hellfire and the unrelenting, eternal punishment therein
• The characteristics of those who will enter the hellfire, and those who will enter paradise

• A warning against going to places of fitan and dressing in a manner that is displeasing to Allāh during the days of summer

• ۞ هَـٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ ١٩

{These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord: then as for those who disbelieved, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.} [22:19]

• The seven types of people who will be under the shade of Allāh on the Day of Judgement
