[22/08/2025] Dependence upon Allāh: The Secret of Strength and Honour – By Shaykh Abu Zayd Khālid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
- {O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allāh. But Allāh is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all praise} [Sūrah Fāṭir:15]
- Our constant need of Allāh the Mighty and Majestic.
- Ibn al-Qayyim’s commentary upon this verse and explanation of the two types of poverty.
- {and man was created weak…} [Sūrah an-Nisā: 28]
- {Nay! Verily, man does transgress (in disbelief and evil deed)} [al-‘Alaq: 6]
- The example of the Prophet ﷺ.
- The supplications of the Prophet ﷺ during the morning and the evening.
- Commentary of imām as Sa’dī raḥimahullāh of Sūrah Fāṭir: 15.
- The blessing of Allāh upon us.
- Ibn al-Qayyim regarding the one that is “truly guided”.
- The definition of “true richness”.
