Some points discussed during this lesson:

– The importance and benefit of teaching our children the Qur’ān at a young age.
– Asking ourselves if we are truly upon “You (Alone) we worship and You (Alone) we ask for help”.
– The reason we say “Lā ḥawlā wa lā quwwata illa Billāh” when hearing the adhān.
– The reason shayṭān breaks wind and flees when he hears the adhān and cries on the day of ‘Arafah.
– Taking shayṭān as an enemy and making him toil.
– The real tijārah that will remain in the ākhirah.
– Making our home one of dhikr and Qur’ān.
– Being an example for our children.
– That which is better than returning to one’s family with three large camels.
– The meaning of “Aḥad” in the āyah قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ, and refutation of the orientalists who tried to claim there is an error in using this word.
– How our hearts should be when we hear the Qur’ān.
– Using the Qur’ān to teach our children good manners.
– The severity of mockery and making fun of others.
– Allāh’s negation of crookedness and affirmation of perfection for the Qur’ān.
– The end result of the people of Ṣāliḥ, Lūṭ and Nūḥ (عليهم السلام).
– Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (رحمه الله) on the true meaning of tadabbur (pondering over the Qur’ān).
– The case of those who turn away from the people of Tawḥīd and Sunnah.
– Teaching our children to be humble, and a warning against arrogance and self-amazement.
– Seeking refuge with Allāh from the hamz, nafth and nafkh of the shayṭān.
– Teaching our children the attributes of the slaves of Ar-Raḥmān.
– An example of the love the Companions (رضى الله عنهم) had for the Qur’ān and their certainty regarding it.
– Be builders, not complainers.
– Making the Qur’ān our companion.
