[30/10/2026] “But Stop Them, Verily They are to be Questioned” – By Ustādh Abu ‘Abdir-Raḥmān Hilāl حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The questioning on the Day of Judgement.
– “You will meet your Lord and you will be questioned…”
– The three questions in the grave.
– The first action that a servant will be questioned about.
– The importance of the voluntary prayers (supererogatory prayers).
– The affairs that a servant will be questioned about.
– Wealth and earnings that are blessed.
– How one utilises one’s health.
– The terrors of the Day of Judgement.
– That which caused the Prophet ﷺ to laugh.
– Protecting the hearts.
– Opposing oppression and the manner of doing so.
– The rights of the people and the settling of disputes between them.
– The manner in which people will be raised on the Day of Judgement.
– “Each of you is a shepherd…”
– The hunger that brought the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr and ‘Umar رضي الله عنهم out of their homes.
– The servant will be questioned about every blessing.
– Not delaying repentance (tawbah) and seeking forgiveness for one’s sins.
