[28/02/2025] “O Allāh Bless us to Reach Ramaḍān!” – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Reflection on how time is passing by.
– Statements of the righteous regarding how passing of time means that we are moving towards the hereafter.
– The statement of Hasan al Basri shows how a person’s life is but is only a number of days.
– The way of the Salaf was to make dua to be able to reach Ramaḍān and after Ramaḍān they would make du’ā for it to be accepted.
– Messenger of Allah ﷺ would give glad tidings to his companions at the commencement of Ramaḍān.
– Aḥādith mentioning the virtues of Ramaḍān.
– The real purpose of fasting.
– Explanation of the narration: “O Seeker of good, come forth!”
– Importance of making dua to reach Ramaḍān and then to make du’ā for tawfeeq in Ramaḍān.
