Be Firm and Steadfast Upon Your Religion – Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[11/09/2026] Be Firm and Steadfast Upon Your Religion – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ ٢
{Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested} [al-‘Ankabūt: 2].
– Being tested by way of health, wealth, life, etc.
– Action and patience upon the truth.
– Simply “knowing the truth” is not enough without action.
– The approach of the Angel of Death.
– The characteristics of the believers.
– “Say, ‘I believe,’ and then remain steadfast.”
– The mercy of Allāh upon His servants.
– Tremendous benefits from Sūrat al-‘Aṣr.
– Those who oppose the call.
– “Īmān” according to the people of the Sunnah.
– The “righteous deed” and its conditions.
– Enjoining the good and forbidding the evil.
– The affair of patience.
