[18/07/2025] As the Calamities of Evil Surge, Misguidance and Chaos Shall Follow! – By Shaykh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The darkness of fitan.
– “And al-Fitnah is worse than killing.” [Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:191]
– The reason fitnah is worse than killing.
– Some lines of poetry on the Qur’ān and Sunnah being a light in this dunyā.
– Fitan that will appear at the end of time, with proof from the Sunnah of the Messenger ﷺ:
1. The disappearance of knowledge and rise of ignorance.
2. Doubts and misguidance.
3. The emergence of fitnah and widespread killing.
4. The spread of usury and fornication.
5. The trials of wealth and poverty.
6. The increase of liars.
7. Neglecting the trust.
8. Severing family ties.
9. Division amongst the Muslims.
10. A believer will wish to run away to the hills due to widespread fitan.
– The only protection we have from these trials.
