[23/01/2026] An Important Piece of Advice Concerning Three Matters – Sh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– A tremendous wasiyyah Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) has left in His Book as guidance for the believers.
– Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the recompense and justice that will take place on the Day of Judgement.
– The characteristics of those whose faces will be white and those whose faces will be blackened.
– The contents of the hearts becoming apparent upon the faces.
– Allāh’s chastisement of those whose faces will be blackened.
– Ibn Taymiyyah’s (رحمه الله) explanation of the Rope of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
– Three things Allāh loves and is pleased with for us.
– Allāh’s command to obey the rulers.
– The condition for obedience to other than Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) and His Messenger ﷺ.
– The Messenger’s ﷺ warning against opposing the ruler.
– Those who fall into the verse, “And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.” [Surah al-Ahzāb 33:58]
– Ahādīth on how the believers should be amongst themselves.
– A sign of Allāh removing His blessings from us.
