All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[11/10/2024] The Virtues of the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān – By حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Allah has praised the Companions رضي الله عنهم highly by mentioning them in the Noble Qur’an
– {And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirūn and the Ansār and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success} [Surah At-Tawbah :100]
– {Indeed, Allah was pleased with the believers when they gave their Bai’a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad) under the tree} [Surah Al-Fath:18]
– The high status of the Companions رضي الله عنهم
– Clinging to their path.
– Loving the Companions رضي الله عنهم is part of our ‘Aqīdah.
– Our position towards those who hate and criticise the Companions رضي الله عنهم.
– Severe threat upon those who curse the Companions رضي الله عنهم of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.
