All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[22/11/2024] The Pure and Pious Heart – By Sh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– An extremely important affair that is required in order to receive success and salvation.
– “The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children, But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.” [Sūrah ash-Shūrā 26: 88-89]
– Fruits of possessing a sound heart.
– Narrations highlighting the importance of a sound heart and righteous actions.
– The currency on the Day of Judgement.
– A du’ā the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would make plentifully.
– Qualities we should strive to inculcate within ourselves to become from the best of the people.
– The Messenger’s ﷺ instruction to ask Allāh for a sound heart.
– Beautiful words from Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) describing the sound heart, and five affairs that create a barrier between the servant and his Lord.
