[11/07/2025] The Obligation of Censuring Falsehood and its People – By Zayd bin Khālid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Aiding one another upon establishing the truth.
– Four traits that protect a person from loss, and what they entail.
– “You are the best nation ever raised up for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allāh.” [Sūrah Āli ‘Imrān 3:110]
– How unity and victory is achieved.
– The obligation of being united, and the basis of this unity.
– Proof from the Qur’ān and Sunnah regarding the consequence of not enjoining the good and forbidding the evil.
– A warning against being from those who hide the truth.
– The example of the noble scholar ash-Shaykh al-Muḥaddith Rabī’ b. Hādī al-Madkhalī (رحمه الله) who carried out the obligation of calling to unity amongst the Muslims and refuting evil and its people.
– Praise of the major scholars of our time for Shaykh Rabī’: statements from al-Mashaykh al-Albānī, Ibn Bāz, al-‘Uthaymīn, Muqbil, Luḥaydān and Muḥammad b. ‘Abdul-Wahhāb Marzūq al-Bannā (رحمهم الله).
