- Al-Qurṭubī and Ibn Kathīr (رحمهم الله) on the verse, “O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islām), Allāh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers…” [Sūrah al-Mā’idah 5:54]
- Qatādah, Ibn al-Qayyim, Mujāhid and Ibrāhīm an-Nakha’ī (رحمهم الله) on the verse, “…And your Ilāh (God) is One Ilāh (Allāh), so you must submit to Him Alone (in Islām). And give glad tidings to the Mukhbitīn.” [Sūrah al-Ḥajj 22:34]

- Following the example of the Salaf in how they treated the people (those older, younger and their contemporaries).
- The reward of giving in charity, being clement and humbling oneself to Allāh.
- Being an example for our children by consistently adhering to humility.
- Ayyūb as-Sakhtiyānī (رحمه الله) on those whom Allāh debases and those whom He raises in status.
- Signs of humility, and its fruits.
- The humility of the Prophet ﷺ in his readiness to accept the invitation for a meal, even if it was meagre.
- The reward for the one who leaves valuable clothing out of humility for Allāh while he is able to afford it (with further explanation from Shaykh Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله).
