  • Qatādah, Ibn al-Qayyim, Mujāhid and Ibrāhīm an-Nakha’ī (رحمهم الله) on the verse, “…And your Ilāh (God) is One Ilāh (Allāh), so you must submit to Him Alone (in Islām). And give glad tidings to the Mukhbitīn.” [Sūrah al-Ḥajj 22:34]

  • Following the example of the Salaf in how they treated the people (those older, younger and their contemporaries).
  • The reward of giving in charity, being clement and humbling oneself to Allāh. 
  • Being an example for our children by consistently adhering to humility. 
  • Ayyūb as-Sakhtiyānī (رحمه الله) on those whom Allāh debases and those whom He raises in status.
  • Signs of humility, and its fruits.
  • The humility of the Prophet ﷺ in his readiness to accept the invitation for a meal, even if it was meagre. 
  • The reward for the one who leaves valuable clothing out of humility for Allāh while he is able to afford it (with further explanation from Shaykh Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله).
