All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions and true followers.
[18/02/2022] The Deceased is Followed to his Grave by Three, Two Return, One Remains with him – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid As-Salafi, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khutbah:
⁃ The three that follow the deceased to the grave.
⁃ The happy one and the loser as it relates to their wealth and family.
⁃ A reminder from Jibrīl (عليه السلام) to the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ and his ummah.
⁃ The three deeds that remain for a person after their death.
⁃ The harsh reality that there are from our family those who are enemies to us and will not benefit us after our death.
⁃ The wealth that one truly benefits from.
⁃ The yearning of the true believer and affairs that require our attention.
⁃ An example from ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنهما) in giving from that which we love.
⁃ The most wicked of cultivators of their children.
⁃ The only companion that will remain with you after you die up until you enter Jannah or Jahannam.
⁃ Preparing a good resting place for ourselves in the grave.
