All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[10/05/2024] Perfecting Good Character – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
- Drawing closer to Allāh by way of imitating the good character of the Messenger ﷺ.
- Correcting a misunderstanding many people have as it relates to having good character.
- Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) on that which taqwā of Allāh encompasses.
- The Prophet’s ﷺ concern for others, and his command to be good towards the people.
- The tremendous reward for the one who beautifies his character.
- The thing that will enter most people into paradise, and the thing that will enter most people into the hellfire.
- Following the example of the Messenger ﷺ in his cheerful countenance and plentiful smiling.
