All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[20/02/2026] Let us Pardon and Forgive One Another – Sh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– Ramaḍān – The month of Forgiveness.
– Hadith narrated by Ā’ishah رضي الله عنها regarding the Dua that should be made on Laylatul Qadr.
– The wisdom behind this Du’ā.
– The importance of pardoning and forgiving people.
– Those who forgive and pardon those on the earth, then Allāh will pardon them.
– Remaining patient upon the harm of the people upon you.
– Story of Hudhayfah ibn Yaman رضي الله عنه during the Battle of Uhud, in which he forgave the killing of his father.
– The levels of pardoning displayed by the companion Hudhayfah.
– Pardoning others is true strength and weakness.
– The forgiveness displayed by Imam Aḥmad during his famous trial.
– Story of the Ifk – the slander against Ā’ishah رضي الله عنها and the Ayah that was revealed regarding forgiving the people, just as we love Allāh to forgive us.
– Actions are put forward on Mondays and Thursdays, and Allāh will forgive everyone as long as they ascribe no partners with Allāh, except those two people who have a dispute until they reconcile.
