[04/10/2024] ‘Excellence of the Qur’an & the Obligation to Act Upon That Which it Contains’ of Al-‘Allāmah Ibn Bāz – By Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The importance of the Qur’ān for every believer.
– {Those who believe, and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest} [Surah Ar-Ra’d:28].
– Reciting the Qur’ān throughout all times of the day.
– The Speech of Allāh – uncreated and from His Attributes.
– The Qur’ān is the Best Speech.
– The Qur’ān was revealed for our guidance.
– The Qur’ān is a healing and medicine.
– What is the Qur’ān a cure for?
– The Qur’ān is a clarification for all our differences.
– {Do they not then think deeply in the Qur’ān, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)?} [Surah Al-Ahqaf: 24]
– The importance of understanding the Qur’ān to truly reflect and receive guidance.
– Action upon the Qur’ān is truly benefitting from its recitation.
– The rewards of reciting the Qur’ān.
– Qur’ān will be an intercessor on the Last Day for the one who recites and acts upon it.
– Ḥadīth regarding the description of how Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Aal Imrān will come on the Last Day interceding for its reciters.
– “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’ān and then teaches it”.
– The one who turns away from the Qur’ān in this life, it will be against them on the Last Day.
– The tremendous reward of learning the verses of the Qur’ān in this life and the next.
