All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.
[16/06/2024] ‘Eid Al-Aḍḥā 1445 | 2024 – Khutbah By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid. Small Heath Park, Birmingham – UK.
Some points covered during this Khuṭbah:
- The obligation of being grateful to Allāh for the blessing of Islām.
- The two celebrations of the Muslims that are better than and have replaced all other celebrations.
- The permissibility of singing and playing the duff on the day of ‘Eid for women and girls.
- Enjoying the day of ‘Eid without disobedience of Allāh and sins.
- Advice to follow the Islamic dress code and manners and not follow the fashions and follies of the kuffār.
- The obligation of complying with the revelation that was sent to Muḥammad ﷺ.
- The best examples for the women.
- Allāh’s threat of punishment to those who follow a path other than the path of the Ṣaḥābah.
- The reason Allāh opened up the earth for the Ṣaḥābah, and the reason our brothers and sisters are being killed day and night in Gaza.
- The only means of honour, victory and happiness.
- Ibn Mas’ūd’s (رضى الله عنه) strong rebuke of those who were innovating in the masjid.
- A call to practice the religion, be proud of it and not be deceived by shayṭān that the slaughtering of Muslims cannot come to Europe [again].
