All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[08/05/2026] Disputes & Differing Lead to Discord – Sh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.
Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:
– The greatest means that brings discord and weakness amongst the ummah is that there is disagreement between them.
– {O you who believe! When you meet (an enemy) force, take a firm stand against them and remember the Name of Allah much so that you may be successful. And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart, and be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are the Patient ones} [Surah al-Anfal (8): 45-46]
– Disputes lead to failure.
– Judge your disputes with the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf.
– Satan loves discord amongst the Muslims, especially between the people of the Sunnah.
– {O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination} [Surah al-Nisa (4): 59].
– Example of the story of the Battle of the Uhud and the archers.
– The consequences of not uniting upon the truth and Allah’s Command.
– Holding onto the Rope of Allah and not being divided is what Allah loves.
– Have a good relationship with Allah, be united, and have patience.
