[18/10/2024] Conflict Resolution in Light of the Qur’ān & Sunnah – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– Judging between disputing parties according to the Sharī’ah.
– The obligation of the claimant providing proof for his claims.
– The story of Prophet Dāwūd (عليه السلام) when the two disputing individuals came to him for judgement.
– A stern warning from the Messenger ﷺ to the one who is given the right of a Muslim unjustly due to being more eloquent in speech when presenting his argument.
– The Messenger’s ﷺ advice to ‘Alī (رضى الله عنه) when he sent him as a judge to Yemen.
– Humbling ourselves and being truthful in order to solve disputes.
– The three types of judges.
– Caution against judging while angry.
– A warning against being from those who fuel the fire or fitnah.
– ‘Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb (رضى الله عنه) on controlling the tongue when fitnah occurs.
