Rulings Of Ruqyah (Incantations) by Abu Iyaad – Parts 1 & 2

Jinn possession, magic, evil eye, illness and fevers all have something in common! That the recitation of the Qur’aan and supplications can ward off their effects by the permission of Allaah. The rulings pertaining to this are quite often misunderstood or blatantly distorted by the people of misguidance. Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullaah) explains this important topic in light of the Qur’aan and Sunnah. 1. AssalamuAlaykum,

This is a very beneficial lecture. It clears a lot of misconceptions and most importantly shows methods of performing Ruqyah, a thing which I miss in most of the Ruqyah related lectures.

May Allah preserve everyone involved in this website.

  2. Jazakumullahu Khayran here is the 2 min version of it.

What is Al-Ruqyah (Incantations)? by Ustaz Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (2 Min)

Also you can read the transcript version as below:

    It is transcribed as below:
“It means al-uoozah, it explained by anther word, which means al-uoozah And al-Uoozah this word al-uoozah something that the person recites, he reads out and he makes utterings, and by which he intends to protects him self, this is al-uoozah.

And the utterings something which is said or something which is recited, by which is a person protects himself, for example; it can be protection from some kind of harm, like a fevers or from possessions or from being stunned…………. Whatever the harm is, it is uttering that the person makes or recites in order prevent him self from been harmed. And this is the linguistic meaning, and when we speak in linguistic meaning this meaning include every type of ruqyah, whether that ruqyah permissible or not permissible………….”

What is meaning in the Shariyah, in the Shariyah, it means when a person recites what is in the Quran or what is in the supplications reported from the messenger [Sallahu Alaihi Wasalman (Peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him)] in order to protect him self. “
