All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions and true followers.

[2003] From Unbelief to Belief – By Abu Hakeem Bilāl Davis  حفظه الله. Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this lecture:
– The call of all of the Prophets and Messengers.
– Pondering upon the guidance present in Khuṭbatul-Ḥājah.
– The reason people become misguided.
– The fallacy of “free thought” and other manmade ideologies.
– The concept of materialism and what it entails.
– Reflecting upon the verse, “Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers, evil-doers), and (there is) Forgiveness from Allāh and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers, good-doers), whereas the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment.” [Sūrah al-Ḥadīd 57:20]
– The reason people have a problem with the message of Islām, from the time of the Messengers to our present day.
– Misconceptions about the religion propagated by the enemies of Islām.
– The ideology of the Khawārij, and the fact that the Muslims have been fighting against them since the time of the Companions of the Messenger ﷺ.
– The good death vs the evil death.
